"Having
grown up in Maine, my grandmother kept us warm with her
boiled dinners on cold winter nights. They were so good,
but didn't quite have a broth flavor. I took your Outrageously Good
Onion Soup Base, added some bay leaf, paprika, and mixed
these with corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, and
turnips. I just put enough water to cover and bring to
simmering boil. When the potatoes are tender, the dinner
is done. The dinner is so good and filling and even better
warmed up." Serves 8 to 12 hungry people.
